Working with produce Department Managers and Associates, you’re on the front lines of the customer experience and will have a genuine impact on overall store success as you:
Assist with stocking, display, truck unloading, quality control and inventory 
Greet customers and share your knowledge of the department’s vast selection of items
Use suggestive selling techniques to promote products
Operate and maintain department equipment such as code gun, wrapper, scale, pallet jack and baler
Ensure that our beautiful Produce department is well-stocked and looks showroom-worthy—after all, it’s Dierbergs, and our customers expect the very best

What you need to succeed

An approachable, friendly personality to provide the level of service that Dierbergs customers have come to expect
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., maneuver stock carts weighing up to 250 lbs. and work in varied temperature-controlled environments (36-degree cooler and 45-degree prep area). This position involves repeated heavy lifting. 
Ability to follow safe food-handling guidelines and keep your work area safe and clean using company-approved equipment
Flexibility to work a varied schedule that includes weekends and holidays
